Girls on The Run Sonoma County

At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event. Girls on the Run Sonoma County launched its first season in September 2007 with only 2 sites and 34 program participants. Today Girls on the Run Sonoma County has offered this extraordinary experience to over 7,000 girls on 430 teams and provided over $340,000 in program and shoe scholarships to those (40%) with financial need.

House Of Shan

Shannon Buth is the founder of House of Shan. What started out as a blog has now essentially become a community that is all about empowering others to 'live what you love' on a daily basis and never quit your day dream!  This mission + message is based on connection, empowering women, spreading positivity and giving back to women’s charities.

With a background in fashion, Shannon has designed apparel that includes an imperfect heart on every piece, and this heart signifies a daily reminder to 'live your passion, laugh everyday, love deeply, lift others up, and never quit your day dream'. In other words, 'LIVE WHAT YOU LOVE'!  $5 from every purchase supports a women’s charity. The company was founded in January of 2020, and Shannon has donated over $40k to women’s charities.
